WELCOME TO RACESAFE H2O - WORLD LEADING SAFETY TECHNOLOGY

WHAT IS RACESAFE H2O?

RaceSafe H2O is an innovative vehicle to vehicle communication system that transmits hazard warnings via in-vessel units in competitive motor sports events, such as a ski racing or jet boat racing. Originally designed with rally in mind, its potential in other areas was soon recognised and the system has since been adapted for use in other areas of motorsport.

The unit itself is a small electronic module fitted to a vehicle for use by the observer and driver. It incorporates a full colour display, key pad, accelerometers, a radio transceiver, GPS, GSM and satellite communications capabilities. It is a one size fits all unit with only a fitting kit consisting of an antenna and 12v power source needed for operation.

All of this latest technology is used to automatically transmit warnings and vehicle status data from one boat to another and to Race Control as quickly and efficiently as possible. Being fully automated there is little input required from crews, leaving them to focus on the important task at hand. Instant and automatic detection of hazards reduces reaction and lead times to provide fast response to those in need without the usual confusion surrounding an incident.

Along with RaceSafe’s cutting-edge safety features, it also offers accurate vehicle tracking throughout an event and full timing capability.

COMPANY HISTORY

RallySafe was founded under parent company Status Awareness Systems in early 2010 after a serious secondary collision (Where a vehicle collided with another vehicle that had stopped and was blocking the road) in Targa Tasmania, Australia’s premier tarmac rally event. The founders, Stephen Sims, Wayne Maxwell, and Jason White, felt that the accident could have been prevented with a vehicle-to-vehicle communications system.

From this humble aim our first system, RallySafe, and the company were born. Since then, Status Awareness Systems has gone from strength to strength, building RallySafe and its sister system, RaceSafeH2O, into world-leading systems. The expertise gained through our research and development efforts has allowed Status Awareness Systems to forge ahead with technological innovations to provide huge benefits in leading markets and industries. Status Awareness Systems has quickly grown to include over 15 full time employees servicing in 19 countries and counting.
